How to recover MPG files with CRC errors from NTFS?
On an NTFS disk there are three 1.4Gb MPEG4 files that have CRC errors and thus will not copy. The machine has a second hard drive with ample space, and also NAS with even more space.
What can be done?
Suggestions on how to extract the good sections from the rescued files are also welcome.
Several days now and no useful answers… anyone with a suspicion of a clue is welcome to chime in.
Note: I have two degrees in computing and have written CRC checksum code for various things, so I understand what the problem means, I’m looking for ways to get the majority of salvagable data.
