help! can i recover an unsaved file?

I have been working really hard all day on a photoshop image. But when i was done i put it on a new canvas and then when i saw that it fitted, i closed out of it. But i forgot to save the original! so ive lost everything is there any way i can get it back???

Not really… A professional possibly could, but it would be very expensive (if the portion of RAM it’s on hasn’t even be written over. Also, a few minutes after shutting down the system RAM is cleared as it has no power going to it, so even if it’s still in RAM and hasn’t been overwritten such a professional (charging quite a bit of money) would have to come to you.

In short, the answer is no.
