Windows Vista Question! Can YOU help?

Im about to install Windows 7 RC on my HP laptop. Like most laptops, it comes preinstalled with Vista and has a seperate drive/partition (?) “HP_RECOVERY (E:)” which is used to recover old settings.

NOW… if I install Windows 7, try it out for a bit, then want to restore my computer back to its original OS and settings (i.e. vista with a whole bunch of AOL crap), can I still do this easily when I’m using windows 7? Will the recovery software still be available? Is that software installed onto my recovery drive (E:). Coz if its on the C: drive then surely it will be gone and I’ll get stuck. Is there any way of creating a Vista installation CD?

Thanks for any help given!

if the recovery is on a different partition, it wont be affected by the install.. though i don’t think you’re going to change back to Vista.. you’ll be very pleased with W7. even if something goes wrong, you can always download the vista ISO and use the serial number that is written under your laptop! good luck:)
it’s not true waht the guy above me said.. Windows 7 is perfectly ready..
