external hard drive – reocver data help?
A few days ago my external hard drive was dropped.
Not from a big height it was on top of my printer which is just places off the floor and wasnt unplugged from my laptop when the laptop was mvoe it was dragged onto the floor…
it was beeping to start with and that was the only noise it was making but..
now it whirrs how it always used to when it would start up and the last time i plugged it in the light flashed..
i’ve heard if the hard drive still sounds active there are programmes i can use to recover the data is this correct? if it is can anyone help me with what programme to use

In case HD is showing its status u may use PC inspector (www.pcinspector.de) for data recovery. But I think some kind of damage in your HD, consulting a service center will be a better option,
