I just got my Windows 7 upgrade and I was wondering if I upgrade to Windows 7 do I loose all my stuff?

It was part if the free HP upgrade plan, and came with it a paper saying “performing an upgrade will prevent any personal files and programs from being overwritten. The upgrade process may take several hours to complete. You will need internet access to download software updates. Also, you need blank CD or DVD media in oreder to back up your personal data or create recovery disks.”

You will not lose data, but it is always best to backup important data first. If you want to keep all the programs and data in Vista you can do an upgrade from within Vista to Windows 7.
