What is the Best Recovery Program to get back data after formatted an external hard drive?

Assuming that the drive has been formatted and then nothing saved on to it, most of the standard recovery softwares will get the files back. The one I like the best is Recuva (made by the people who make ccleaner) and can be downloaded for free from http://recuva.com
