what’s differnce bet formating hard disk and restore system?
my pc is an IBM, it has “IBM rescue & recovery” program. if u run this program the pc will be restored to its orginal (ie before buying) but all data and programs added after buying will be removed. now how this differs from “Formating” the hard disk?
Formatting will Erase the whole hard disk and everything on it, Including the Operating System. By the sounds of it, the IBM will delete all files EXCEPT the operating system.
Hope that helps.
